The Bennet Record—Colorado Unemployment Jumps to 8.2%

DENVER –Since Michael Bennet was appointed to the U.S. Senate, Colorado has lost more than 105,000 jobs and the state’s rate of unemployment has jumped from 6.7 percent to 8.2 percent. 

Instead of controlling Washington’s wasteful spending and giving small businesses the certainty they need to create jobs, Bennet voted for the $787 billion stimulus package, Obamacare, tax increases and fought for regulations that will further stifle Colorado’s energy jobs.   

“Bennet has obfuscated his responsibility as a Senator,” says John Swartout, Buck for Colorado’s campaign manager.  “Bennet has made it clear that when it comes to jobs, the only one he is concerned about saving is his own.

“Coloradans want a Senator who has the courage to say ‘no’ to the Washington insiders who want to take their hard-earned money and not have anything positive to show for it,” added Swartout.  “Unlike Sen. Bennet, Ken’s number one priority is to get Coloradans back to work and reign in spending.”
