Salida Mountain Mail
October 12, 2010
Ken Buck, the Weld County district attorney since 2005, believes the biggest issue facing the country is out of control government deficits. To rein in spending he proposes a balanced budget amendment while reviewing federal agencies and eliminating those entities duplicating services.
On energy, he supports stepping up production of traditional sources while continuing to explore alternative energy possibilities.

The senator's ad is dark and alarmist, with misleading claims. He should be honest about the issues, which matter to voters.

Coloradans trying to suss out the best candidate in this year's Senate contest may need an accounting degree.
Rasmussen Reports: The top Republican contenders continue to hold modest leads in the race for the U.S. Senate in the toss-up state of Colorado, with county prosecutor Ken Buck now running slightly stronger than former Lieutenant Governor Jane Norton against the top Democratic hopefuls.

Dick Armey, the former congressman who heads the Washington-based group, called Buck "the clear choice for true conservatives in this election."

Here’s why.
The facts presented in the Denver Post story on June 24th speak for themselves. Ten years ago Assistant U. S. Attorney Ken Buck got caught in the crosshairs of a politically ambitious democrat, Tom Strickland, who became U.S. Attorney in between two unsuccessful runs for the U.S. Senate.
Washington Post: Whatever is in the water in Florida seems to have found its way over to Colorado where frontrunner Jane Norton (R) is now desperately trying to knock down a challenge from Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck (R).
Buck wasn't supposed to go anywhere but his outsider bid has struck a chord with the conservative grassroots, garnered national attention and forced Norton into a race to the right. (Witness her latest web video on the war on terror.)
The Hill: Former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton, the GOP establishment pick, has become embroiled in a tough contest against Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck.
