Denver—U.S. Senate candidate Ken Buck, R-Colo., reaffirmed his commitment to co-sponsor a resolution recognizing the genocide of Armenians in the following letter addressed to the Rocky Mountain Hye Association:
Having travelled through all 64 counties, I have met and spoken with many individuals who have helped shed additional light on the need for a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm my commitment to ensuring that action be taken in the United States Senate when I am sworn in next year.
Throughout the last century we have seen horrifying acts of violence across the globe, yet the inaugural events that plagued the dawn of the twentieth century were the offenses carried out against the people of Armenia. The United States must never forget these colossal crimes committed nearly a century ago.
