GREELEY, CO-  Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck, the Republican nominee for the 4th Congressional District, today called on Congressman Jared Polis to drop his anti-energy independence ballot initiatives.  District Attorney Ken Buck questioned why Polis would want to outsource American jobs to our enemies in the middle east.

“Energy development is a critical industry in the 4th District, and these initiatives will have a devastating effect on our citizens,” said Buck. “These initiatives will cost us revenue, jobs, and benefits to small businesses associated with the energy industry. During a period of stagnant job growth, it makes no sense to restrict an industry that employs people and benefits service industries such as hotels, restaurants and other small businesses. We simply cannot afford these measures.”

Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck cruised to victory Tuesday night in the 4th Congressional District's Republican primary.

"We have just a little bit further to go," Buck told supporters during an election night party in Greeley. "And I am looking forward to serving the 4th Congressional District in Washington, D.C."

As the Weld district attorney, I wake up every morning knowing I will go to work and do the right thing.

When I stand up in a courtroom, I give voice to victims. When I speak up in our community, I stand for the most vulnerable. As your congressman, I will also represent the people whose voices have not been heard.

Talked about drones, immigration, spying

A handful of local supporters talked with Congressional District 4 candidate Ken Buck this week at the Country Steak Out.

Buck, who is currently Weld County district attorney, was on seven-county tour of the plains doing more listening than talking in order to hear what residents had to say was important for the U.S. Congress to do, Buck said.

FIRST IN SCORE—CITIZENS UNITED BACKS BUCK: Ken Buck, the Weld County, Colo., Republican who’s running for GOP Rep. Cory Gardner’s seat, will get another endorsement boost today from the Citizens United Political Victory Fund. In a statement, Citizens United President David Bossie calls Buck “a true conservative” who’s “guided by his core conservative principles.” Buck, who got Gardner’s endorsement in the race, is facing at least two other GOP pols in the primary (http://goo.gl/RDlIYJ); he’s seen as the frontrunner, but every endorsement helps.
